Journey into Dyslexia

PhillyGoes2College is partnering with Vessels of Hope for a special screening and discussion of the film, “Journey into Dyslexia” about the struggles students and adults face with dyslexia in school and how they go on to succeed in life. This discussion will include a panel of experts who will speak from their professional and personal knowledge about this disability. Dyslexia is a specific learning challenge that typically manifests through difficulty reading, writing and spelling. Academy-Award winning filmmakers, Alan and Susan Raymond examine the complexities and the misconceptions about Dyslexia through research and interviews that will be presented in the film.

This event will take place on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 4:00pm at the School District of Philadelphia. This is a repeat presentation and well worth attending for those counselors, parents, students, etc. who need information on how to help students with dyslexia achieve their educational goals.
